- You must lodge your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) Form between 18 months and 1 month and a day, before the date of your marriage. - You must be at least 18 years of age to marry in Australia.
- If you are an Australian citizen, you must produce an original birth certificate. If you were born outside Australia, you are required to produce your birth certificate or a passport from your country of birth.
- If you have been previously married, you must produce your Divorce Decree Absolute/Divorce Certificate or a Death Certificate as evidence of how your previous marriage terminated.
- I must sight the above documents prior to your marriage.
- You must have two witnesses to your marriage and they must be over 18 years of age.
- If you are bringing your partner into Australia on a prospective spouse visa, I can provide you with the necessary letter for the Immigration Department. However you are responsible for making those arrangements yourself.
