Life is full of significant milestones. Whether you are getting married, renewing your original marriage vows, welcoming a new life into the world or farewelling a loved one, it is important to define that moment with a ceremony that will leave memories that will not only last but will be unique and satisfying and to provide a vehicle in which friends and family can join with you and support you.
My training was done with the International College of Celebrancy where I completed four units of study in Marriage and Funeral Celebrancy, earning distinctions in both Diplomas of Marriage and Funeral Celebrancy. I have been duly authorised by the Australian Government Attorney-General's Department as a marriage celebrant.
Before deciding to become a celebrant full-time, I also worked as a secondary school teacher and have a BA.DipEd., with major studies in Ancient and Modern History and Aboriginal History. The last 9 years of my work in education was spent teaching young ladies from years 7 to 12, in a specialist unit for the intellectually disabled at a prestigious private college in Sydney. I have subsequently retired from teaching.
I am an enthusiastic and passionate writer and poet and have had some of my works published by the International Poets Society in the United States and the United Kingdom.
I have conducted numerous ceremonies including Marriages, Funerals, Baby Namings and Renewals of Vows ceremonies. I also provide a Funeral Planning service and speak at various organisations about my profession and services. I am a member of the International College of Celebrancy and also the Association of Civil Marriage Celebrants of New South Wales and ACT Inc.
Being a celebrant allows me to do what I love - creating unique, personalised ceremonies, which ensures that your day is everything you could have hoped for, everything you ever imagined or dreamed it would be.
Although I am located in the south of Sydney, I am happy to perform ceremonies across the Sydney area and beyond.
